Bhavish Chutturdharry

Bhavish Chutturdharry was admitted as a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in June 2017. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2018 and to the Bar of the Republic of Mauritius in September 2020.

Bhavish studied law at the University of Northampton where he received an International Scholarship for Academic Excellence. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) First Class in 2017 and was awarded the Oxford University Press Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the Shoosmiths Prize for Outstanding Overall Contribution.

Subsequently, he received the Nottingham Law School Dean’s Bar Professional Training Course Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Bhavish was awarded a Master of Laws with Distinction in 2019 after he followed an approved programme Bar Professional Training Course at Nottingham Trent University.

He also volunteered for the Free Representation Unit and the Nottingham Law School Legal Advice Centre. He represented clients before the Nottingham Employment and Social Security Tribunals and the Leicester and Nottingham County Courts.

Bhavish joined De Spéville-Desvaux Chambers as a tenant in October 2020 following the successful completion of his pupillage under the supervision of Patrice Doger de Spéville SC, Angélique A. Desvaux de Marigny and Jaykar Gujadhur SA. He welcomes instructions in all areas of Chambers’ expertise.
