Zahra Hosaneea

Zahra Hosaneea joined the Chambers in September 2022, upon being called to the Bar of Mauritius and following her pupillage under the supervision of Patrice Doger de Spéville. SC.

Zahra studied law at the Nelson Mandela University, South Africa. She undertook a Graduate Diploma in Law before successfully completing the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School, Birmingham. She was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2021 and is a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn.

During the academic stage of her career, Zahra volunteered at the Nelson Mandela Law Clinic and in several Street Law Projects where she provided free legal advice to indigent citizens of South Africa. She was elected as Student Director of  the Human Rights Unit, BPP Pro Bono Centre in 2020. Zahra is also a Disability Rights Activist and often acts as a keynote speaker in conferences pertaining to disability rights and legal issues.

Zahra has a mixed area of practice and welcomes instructions in all areas of the Chambers’ expertise.
